Terminating mediation and recording agreements and post terminating phase. ADR covers both commercial and civil matters.
Medical Malpractice Litigation
Experience includes pharmaceutical and medical malpractice litigation. Extensive law and motion and discovery experience. Take and defend depositions of expert witnesses. Responsible from inception of the case through trial.
Personal Injury Litigation Practice
Responsible for wide range of personal injury insurance litigation matters, including coverage, vehicle, aircraft, premises, and product liability cases. Handle all stages of litigation including drafting and editing of complaints, cross complaints, answers, demurrers, discovery matters, summary judgment motions; and arbitration and trial briefs. Take and defend depositions and depose expert witnesses. Have tried to conclusion numerous Arbitration and Court trials.
Labor Litigation Practice
Manage and supervise labor and employment cases including discrimination and wrongful termination matters. Deal with cases under Industrial Relation Ordinance, 1969, and law relating to Master and Servant. Daft pleadings and discovery, prepare legal motions, present oral arguments in Courts. Take and defend depositions. Conduct administrative hearings before Department of Employment and Department of Industrial Relations, conduct labor cases in Labor Courts, High Courts and the Supreme Court.
Land Use Practice
Represent corporate clients in land use and zoning matters; document, perform title work, and draft loan documents for acquisition of oil and gas; negotiate and draft real estate purchase and sale agreements and office, industrial, and retail leases; document loan transactions secured by real and personal property; perform general business transactional work. Legal Advisor for Asian Development Bank loan project of $400 Million in collaboration with GHK (London) and North Sindh Urban Services Corporation for the purpose of acquisition of land required to maintain clean drinking water, sewerage lines and disposal of liquid and solid waste.
Practice includes all areas of family law including dissolution, annulment, custody, child abduction and support modification, as well as related areas of adoption and guardianship. Appear at trial and hearing on various motions. Perform discovery. Negotiate and draft marital settlement agreements. Special emphasis on issues of conflict of laws concerning between Muslim and non Muslim marriages, custody of children and distribution of property.
Provide litigation services and advise regarding environmental regulatory compliance and reliability issues. Specific duties have included advising the Government on health care regarding handling and disposal of medical / infectious waste and providing advice to companies for the protection, conversion, rehabilitation and improvement of the environment for protection of and control of pollution and promotion of sustainable development. Areas of practice include actions in tort, private and public nuisance, trespass, common law remedies and matters falling within the ambit of the Pakistan Environment Protection Act, 1997.
Real Estate Practice
Drafting of purchase and sale agreements for the acquisition of raw land and commercially developed properties. Negotiations and drafting of shopping centre leases, including leases for large retail tenants. Involved in complex landlord and tenant litigation under the Sindh Rented Premises Ordinance, 1979. Conducted research work on counsel houses and re-location of tenants. Draft rent / lease agreements and license deeds.
Involved in complex Muslim corporate, family and personal law matters with regard to conflict of laws. Primary responsibility for case proceedings and workouts. Corporate and Banking Practice
Work mainly focused on advising banks dealing with consumer and investment customers. Filing and conducting recovery cases before the Banking Courts and the High Courts under the Financial Institutions (Recovery of Finances) Ordinance, 2001. Filed several Criminal Complaints under the Offences in Respect of Banks (Special Courts) Ordinance, 1984, for credit card frauds and embezzlement within the bank. Prepared mortgage deeds under the Transfer of Property Act, 1882. Formations / flotation of Modaraba companies on Karachi stock exchange and formation of foreign banks in Pakistan. Draft opinions and file cases under the Companies Ordinance, 1984.

Specialize in all areas of Shipping Litigation including ownership, registration, mortgages, shipbuilding contracts, jurisdiction, collisions, salvage, towage, limitation of liability, oil pollution, pilotage, harbors, docks, sale, maritime liens, passengers and arrest of vessels within the territorial waters of Pakistan and UAE. Handle all stages of litigation and arbitration.
Aviation Law Practice
Identifying the truth and determining the responsibility behind air crashes, and raising public awareness about aviation safety issues, are amongst the vast variety of aviations related legal matters that have been dealt. Work in the field of both international and local aviation laws is extremely extensive including both public and private legal issues arising within any aviation structure. The Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority Ordinance of 1982; Chicago Convention (Convention on International Civil Aviation) of 1944; Tokyo Convention of 1963 (Convention on Offences and Certain Other Acts Committed on Board Aircraft); and various Montreal Conventions.
Conduct arbitration in Pakistan and abroad, in particular UAE and UK with reference to international law, the rules of conflict of laws and enforcing the same before the appropriate forum. Using arbitration as a mechanism for resolution of disputes.
